Cement is a fine powder that is the principal strength-giving and property-controlling component of concrete. As it is the main component in the construction of infrastructures for building and developing residential and public buildings, water and sewage systems, it is the most widely consumed commodity after water.
Due to its importance and properties, most countries manufacture their own cement locally, either in integrated plants or in grinding plants. It is forecasted that cement consumption will continue to rise over the years, resulting in greater volume of cement trade globally.
